Marilyn Burney is a tax and accounting manager at Wealthspring Financial Partners. She is a certified public accountant with 25 years of experience.
With a background in auditing, she brings a standard of accuracy and excellence to financial statements and tax preparation.
With a master’s degree in teaching English as a foreign language from the University of Illinois, Marilyn’s first career was teaching English in two South Korean universities. After returning to the United States, she studied accounting at the University of North Carolina and became a CPA in 1998.
She began her accounting career as a tax accountant at Worley & Toland PC in Asheville, NC, then moved to Conway, NH, where she was a tax accountant and auditor at Leone, McDonnell & Roberts CPAs. In 2008 she became the tax and accounting manager at Kostka Taylor, LLC.
In her free time, Marilyn has volunteered with her church financial oversight team and has sung with many community choirs.
